Hi!
My name is Sarah Lewis, and here's my story. I'm 18 and I'm from Northern Indiana. I was born with Spina Bifida Myelomeningocele. I do have hydrocephalus but am not shunted. I have had a total of 10 surgeries throughout my lifetime. In terms of my mental health, I have anxiety and ADD. I have lordosis and minor scoliosis. I thank God for every day I am alive. I have many hobbies, but my favorites include singing, scrolling through social media, playing with my dog Dexter (cutest Australian Shepherd EVER!), hanging out with friends, playing wheelchair basketball, and relaxing, among many others. I am currently learning (self-taught through YouTube videos) ASL/PSE, which is pretty much the coolest thing I've ever done. I'd show you but I'm just starting to learn. I have a deaf friend, and she inspires me so much that I want to be able to communicate with her so much better. My favorite season is the transition between summer and fall. I hope you all can learn something from me. I look forward to reading all of your guys' feedback. I am pretty much an open book when it comes to (appropriate) questions, so ask away! Hope you all are having a great Thanksgiving week!
Blessings,
Sarah Lewis
