Scott Hayes gave me your email and told me I should share with the post I wrote . If u have any suggestions I would really appreciate it. OK all my Tipton friends. Got a question. How do I go about getting the elementary school playground safer for Bella. As many as u know Bella is my granddaughter and she was born with spina bifida and hydrocephalus. Well she came home Wed and was complaining that her neck was sore. Well she said that she was at recess practicing cheers and her legs gave out and she lost her grip on her Walker and fell. I asked her if she was OK and if anyone got a recess aid . She said yeah and helped her up dusted her off and told her to be more careful. Well I'm instantly pissed . So I said well bug why don't you just use your wheelchair since your legs are getting weaker . Welp mamaw, they said I can't use it out the cause it's not safe. WTH. My granddaughter should be able to use her wheelchair at recess and be able to play AND don't just dust her off and tell her to be more careful. What if she would have broke something? She has no feeling from her legs down and not to mention she has a shunt in her head. What if she would have hit that? I just need someone to lead me in the right direction to make the playground safe ... any suggestions
