Larry's Story

I am originally from Detroit, MI, but I moved to Keizer, OR, to marry my high school sweetheart. I have had hydrocephalus all my life and recently I was diagnosed with Epilepsy. I have had a total of 25 brain surgeries and a stroke by time I was 27 years old! I take several meds in order for me to function and to prevent seizures. I am still able to work despite my many challenges and to take care of my family. The medications that I am on wear me out after work and I must sit for a while to recover from working a full day of work. I am on several groups online and provide input on my experiences. I attend the yearly event that they have to raise funds. My advice to others, hang in there and never give up! Advocate for yourself and don't take no for an answer!
